This year is the 10th Annual Carmel Marathon weekend. Originally the the race weekend was scheduled for April 4th, but it has been postponed until June 14th. Along with the postponement, the race is also offering virtual options for all the distances. This is exciting for me since I won't be able to run the physical race.
I signed up for the virtual 10k race. As a virtual race participant I will receive a bib, race shirt, and medal. I have until Sept 1 to submit my results. Since the weather in ATL is cool, I plan to complete the distance within the next month. I am also using this race to train for the Peachtree Road Race.
