In this season of virtual running, I signed up to run the Carmel Virtual 10k. Carmel is celebrating their 20 year race anniversary this year. Due to our current pandemic all the races (5k, 10k, half, and marathon). I opted for 10k since I the weather is nice and I don't want to venture too far from home since it becomes too hard to social distance on my normal routes.

I ran the race on 4/25 using a modified version of my Seven Mile Sunday route. This route runs through the Emory campus and the Druid Hills neighborhood. I had a blast running the route. I ran through sprinklers, it wasn't that hot but I just couldn't resist. I also made a few mulberry tree pit stops and admired unique azalea flowers.

It was fun run and I had a great time getting my miles in. I didn't have any issues social distancing. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the virtual Carmel race's 20th Anniversary. It's not too late to join the fun and run the virtual races. Use code BIBRAVE5 and save $5. Register here.
