Week 9 was a great week. This week has a half marathon for Saturday's mileage. Thankfully Divas Peachtree City fell on Saturday and I volunteered to serve as a pacer the race. The week started off with a 3 mile run on Tuesday and to prep for the race I rested until Saturday. I initially signed up to the 11 min/mile pace, but due to communication issues I switched to pacing the 14 min/mile runners to support the back of the pack. Since this is my third year running this race (I'm a streaker), my race review is going to be short.
Race Review
The DIVAS Peachtree City course is the same as has been since it's inception in 2014. The course is fine and not overly hilly. My only complaint is the dark tunnels that we had to run though. They can be a tripping hazard, but we made it though. I had fun talking and running with DIVAS as they raced to the finish line. Overall it was a fun experience and I crossed off my 13.1 miles for this week. I am going to rest for few days and get ready for Week 10.
