465 Challenge Virtual Race

Disclaimer: I received an entry into the 465 Virtual Race to evaluate as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to find and write race reviews!”

I kicked off 2020 with the inaugural 465 Virtual Race. The race consisted of running, swimming, and/or biking 55 miles between January 1-February 29, 2020. This was the first year the race was offered. The 55 miles represent the distance of one loop of I465 in Indianapolis.

I ran and biked many of my miles. I got my nephew to walked one mile of the challenge with me (it took a bit of bribing, but it worked). I was grateful for the option to bike since we have had a rainy spring.

I finished the challenge mid-February and submitted my information for my medal and tee-shirt. The race provided mileage tracking forms and hosted a Facebook group for all participants. The tee-shirt was nice and medal was unique. The little car moves around the track on the medal.

I love virtual runs. I like the flexibility and medals. I also like that you can run without the crowds and traveling to an early morning race. I am proud member of the 465 Founders Club. I would love to run this race next year.
