Yesterday, I ran the Braves Country 5K race for the In-training for the Peachtree Road Race. This was my first time running this race. The course started and ended at Turner Field. We ran near Grant Park and covered part of the Hot Chocolate Atlanta Race course. For the last 0.2 miles of the race we ran in Turner Field. I felt like an honorary Atlanta Braves player for that moment. The hills were tough and the humidity was serious. What's interesting about Atlanta this time of year is that it is hot even at 6 am. The heat and humidity make you feel like you are running with a 50 lb pound backpack. I finished in less than 31 minutes. I am proud of our training participants for the completing the race.
