Fall racing season has kicked off with a bang. The first race for this fall season is the DIVAS Peachtree City Half Marathon. This is my second time running this race. I also ran the DIVAS Myrtle Beach race earlier this year. Peachtree City is a community in southwest Atlanta that is designed for golf lovers. The race course was comparatively flat compared to other Atlanta races and we ran on many of the trails. The expo for the race was small, but I bought a cute pair of capris. I took some nice pictures with the various back drops.
The weather on race day was perfect. The heat and humidity took a bit of a vacation. I gave my best and while I did not PR, I was glad to add another injury-free half marathon in the history books. The Black Girls Run! concierge gave me another medal to add to my collection. Overall this race was a success and I look forward to running another DIVAS race in the future.
