Socks make all the difference

One commonly overlooked piece of running gear is surprisingly socks. Most people, including myself, rarely think about the importance of quality socks for running. Last year, I found out the hard way that socks make all the difference in how my feet feel after pounding the pavement for a few hours. Knowing this information, I was excited to test a pair of Wigwam Ultimax socks (https://www.wigwam.com/). They are designed with the triathelete in mind. The socks come in a simple neat package and are easy to put on.

They did not slip or move on my feet while running. I run with an orthopedic insert in my shoe and even that wasn't a problem. The socks felt like second skin and I barely noticed them. I wore them for a half marathon and for a few of my Dopey Challenge training runs and they did make my toes feel like they were about to fall off at the end of each run. My feet also remained dry through the runs.

I highly recommend these socks and would encourage everyone to invest in their socks as much they invest in their shoes and other running gear.
