Bye bye beach towel

Disclaimer: I received an Orange Mud transition towel to review as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!"

Anyone who is a runner knows that you have keep a towel or some type of sweat grabber in your car to protect your seats after a run. My large beach towel has served this purpose for the last two years and is starting to show its age. When I got opportunity to test the Orange Mud transitional towel (www.orangemud.com) I was beyond excited. My poor beach towel is starting to get holes in it from all the its efforts of covering my car seat. This towel is also right on time since I am swimming while I recover from a stress fracture. Here's my review...

The towel

When I first received the towel, I immediately fell in love with the color. It was FL Gator orange (not the true color, but close enough). The towel has a bright vibrant color and it is not overly soft. It has the softness of a beach towel, which is perfect. It has a zipper that allows it form a bit of a hoodie to help when drying off. The small pocket formed by the zipper was also good for holding my keys while I swam.

The towel also has notches that fit a plastic clip that is used to wrap and hold the towel around you.

It also spreads out on the car seat nicely to protect it from sweat after a run or workout.

Sweat, swim, action!

I am currently mending from a stress fracture and have been using swimming to maintain my fitness. Outside of protecting my car seat, I also used the towel to dry off after my swimming sessions. I dried off fast using the towel. The size is great for portability and has the benefit of not being as large as a beach towel.

Overall verdict

I really like this towel and now I can retire my beach towel. I have future Iron Man aspirations and will use this to help me along that journey.
