Yesterday was the 2019 Northside Women's 5k. This is my second year for running this race. The race was also marked the first week of Peachtree Road Race training.

Packet Pick up

Like most Atlanta Track Club small races, there was no formal expo. Packet pick up was the day before the race and on race day. I opted for race day pick up. I also received my bib before the race and the tee-shirt after finishing.

The race

The race started at Chaney Stadium near Turner Field at 8 am. The course looped through Grant Park and surrounding neighborhoods. The course is classic Atlanta (hills and thrills). I like the course, but I wish the participants took corrals were taken more seriously. It was hard to run the first half mile because people were in the wrong corral.

We finished at Chaney Stadium and received a medal and beautiful flower. I finished in 33:42 and tracked my stats with Strava. I enjoyed the race and seeing all my friends. I may return next year to run again.
