PNC 10 Miler 2019

This year I decided to opt out of Triple Peach and run just the Peachtree Road Race and 10 Miler (2 out of 3 isn't bad). I love the PNC 10 Miler, even though it is the most challenging race of the Triple Peach Series. The timing for race is always perfect and the course really proves my point that "Hills Build Character".

This year, I had no time goals in mind and I was just glad to run well with no injuries or bugs. The race started at Atlantic Station and we took a running tour through Midtown. This year the course was slightly different and it was my favorite course to date. I ran my slowest time this year because I choose not bring my Gatorade Endurance drink to the race. Without the extra drink to supplement my Gatorade Endurance gels, I hit the wall at mile 4. I learned an important lesson in not deviating from the training. I have been using Gatorade Endurance throughout training and I should have stuck to the plan. I finished and received my medal. We also received backpacks instead of tee shirts.

I plan to run the race next year and improve my time. Shout to Team Beef for their support for the race.
