Summer is here and the sun is working over time. I have switched my runs to the early mornings to stay ahead of the heat and humidity. Thankfully, I have been able to run in cooler temperatures and through a few sprinklers as I continue half marathon training. I love BUFF (https://buffusa.com/) products and have been using them for years. I use my regular BUFF Multifunctional Headwear as my sweat grabber and mask during my runs. I am grateful to test the BUFF Pack Run Visor, which combines the power of BUFF's sweat absorbency with UV protection.
The visor is lightweight and seamless. The flexible brim is secured to a head band, which prevents slippage. The visor protects against UV radiation. The visor material is made of moisture wicking recycled material that prevents sweat from flowing on your face.
I wore the BUFF Pack Run Visor for my half marathon training runs and the unofficial virtual Peachtree Road Race on July 4th. I will admit that I should wear visors more often during the summer. It is hot in GA and FL, where I have been running this month, and having UV protection would be great for my skin.
I love the color, fit, and its easy of use. It fits in a duffel bag and can be thrown into the washing machine for cleaning. Because of the high humidity during my runs the visor made my head warm and sometimes I would remove it when I was getting too hot. I think overheating won't be much of issue once we move into fall. Overall, I like the visor and I am more likely to wear it than a traditional running visor.
