My virtual race adventures continue with the DC Batman Virtual 5k Race. My swag arrived arrived yesterday. I received a hat, medal, bib, and quarter zip black pullover.
Thursdays are my normal Garmin training days. Usually I am doing a progression run workout, which is mental challenge for me. To make the workout more exciting, I coupled the DC Batman race as part of my workout.
I ran through my neighborhood along my favorite route for the 3.1 miles. The race was about 2 minutes of my progression run workout (the workout has a 30 min easy run before speeding up). I also ran with my medal so I could have a photo op before my super hero breakfast at my favorite spot, Chick Fil A.
Overall, I enjoyed the DC Batman Run. I love the freedom of virtual runs and look forward to running more.
