Happy 30th Anniversary BUFF!

Disclaimer: I received a True Originals Ecostretch Buff to evaluate as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out to find and write race reviews.

This year marks BUFF's ( 30th Anniversary. I have been using BUFF products for the past 7 years and it is one of my essential running items. I use my BUFF primarily as a sweat grabber that I wrap around my hand, but there are so many more uses. BUFF is committed to conservation and mine was made of 2 recycled water bottles. Based on the amount of water bottles that are used at my school each day I could have a lifetime collection! It is soft and I love having it as part of my collection. I used my BUFF for all my half marathon training runs and will be using it for Saturday's Savannah Bridge Run.

The many BUFF uses

Sweat Grabber

I use my BUFF mainly as a sweat grabber during my runs. I never leave home without it. I have a collection to support all my runs from 5k to marathon. For longer distances I will bring more than one since they tend to get saturated over time.

Nothing ends a run like a trip to get my sweet tea at one my favorite restaurants on my way home. I use my BUFF as mask for viral protection. It is easy to clean and reuse.

Neck Gaither

I don't usually wear as a neck gaiter since it doesn't get too cold, but it's nice have that option.

I LOVE headbands and having another one in my collection is always a plus. I love my cool BUFF design and it matches a pair of leggings in my collection.

I applaud BUFF's commitment to conservation efforts by creating sustainable products. It is estimated that 60 million water bottles are discarded each day in the US (source: and only a small amount are recycled. Many of bottles end up in landfills and bodies of water. By reusing water bottles we can significantly reduce pollution and the need to use other textiles.
