Today I am celebrating Medal Monday with 3 races: DC Batman 5k, Detroit Free Press International Half Marathon, and Derby mini Marathon. I ran the 5k on Thursday (Oct 22) and the half marathon on Oct 24.
I had fun running the Batman 5k. I ran it as part of my weekly Garmin workout.
The half marathon was a true adventure. I haven't run a half marathon or any distance beyond a 10k since March 2020. The run started out good, but around mile 9 my worn out shoes started to impact my performance. I ran through 2 cities and 2 counties, so that as was close to an international race as I could get.
