I entered the lottery for 2017 Big Sur Marathon on a whim. Surprisingly, I got in and I had no idea the journey I had ahead of me. Big Sur has one of the most beautiful courses I have ever ran. It is also the most challenging marathons I have ever completed. The race should be called "Beauty and the Beast". It was an amazing race and I built a lot of character on all those hills.
