Surviving winter with Turtle Gloves Mitten Hoodie

Disclaimer: I received Turtle Glove Mitten Hoodie to evaluate as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to find and write race reviews.

As a native Floridian and a current Georgia resident, I am allergic to snow and have a low tolerance to cold weather. Last year I was introduced to Turtle Gloves (https://turtlegloves.com/) mittens and I really liked them. They are convertible and give you the option to wear them as a mitten or you can free your hands when needed. The mittens are awesome, but for me I always seem to be searching for them when I need them the most. If I had a dollar for every time I looked for the mittens, I would not have to pay for race gear for a year (or longer).

This year, I had the opportunity to test the Turtle Glove Mitten Hoodie. The hoodie is awesome since the gloves are attached to it. The hoodie has fleece and is warm. The best part is that you don't have to look for the gloves which makes it easy to get out the door and on to the pavement.

The hoodie has a hood that is tightened with a drawstring to protect your head in the cold and rain. It has kangaroo-style pockets on the front. The mittens are attached to the sleeves so you can wear the gloves if you choose. The gloves can be tucked in sleeves when not worn.

I wore the hoodie for my weekly runs and walks to the gym. During my runs, I was able to wear and remove the gloves. The hoodie was comfortable and warm. It was easy to transition between wearing and removing gloves. The mittens are convertible, which allowed me to wear them as mittens or remove the top to release my fingers.

I plan to continue wearing the hoodie for exercise and normal life. My only recommendation would be to make a pouch in the sleeve where the gloves can be stored when not in use.
